Hello, and Welcome. If you have read any of the previous pages on this site you may already know that my name is Sandy. Let me introduce myself to you again. I have a wonderful son who has served almost 11 years in the Air Force. He is married to a beautiful young woman  who is also in the Air Force. My son is currently  on deployment in Afghanistan and his wife if stationed in England, patiently, or maybe not so patiently awaiting his coming back home. My son has 2 precious little girls who live here in the states, they miss their Daddy and step-Mom so very much. I am also the proud Mom to a younger son who thankfully lives in the states with his lovely wife and 2 adorable children. I also have 2 nephews who are in the Military. One is in the Army and is currently somewhere in Iraq, the other is in the Navy and has served 2 tours in Iraq. So as you can see, much of my heart is in the Military with our Troops.

I felt that I needed to create a very special page for all the families and loved ones who also have so much of their hearts with the Military. Who worry about and miss someone so very much. All those who stand behind our men and women who so bravely serve our country. All those who may go un-noticed but are also bravely giving your all for our country. To all those who sadly, may know the pain of the loss of your loved one. To all of you, I want to say Thank-you. Yours is not an easy task.

I hope that you will find even a glimmer of Hope, Comfort, Strength, Encouragement and Support within these pages. I have worked very hard to try to find links to very positive sites created special for this purpose.

Heart Balloons Pictures, Images and Photos

I found a wonderful website called Operation Mom. This is a National Military family support group, founded in 2001, who also do positive things to support our troops

Another excellent site is call Military Missions. I posted a link for this site one the Military page, but I would also like to post it here as well. This site has so many positive things that they do for our troops and their families. I couldn't even begin to mention all that you will find on this site. One thing that I will mention they have an address for prayer requests for you loved ones in the military.

The site is:www.militarymissionsonline.com

if you know of someone serving in our military that you would like to include on our prayer list, please contact us at  militaryprayerrequests@gmail.com with that information.

This link will take you to a wonderful site. It has many links to other fantastic sites with offer Military support sites, E-mail Groups and Message boards.  I hope you check it out. It is beautifully  done.

The next site is geared toward Postpartum depression and the effect which it has on Military moms.

War Wives At Greater Risk for PPD

Staff writer Denise Gellene of the Los Angeles Times reports on research finding that women married to deployed soldiers are at a much higher risk for experiencing postpartum depression:

"Women with spouses on military deployment during their pregnancies face a nearly threefold higher risk for postpartum depression in initial screening tests, researchers reported this week.
